Man dies 2 weeks after traffic injuries

JUNEAU — A 36-year-old Juneau man has died nearly two weeks after he reportedly jumped out of a moving truck.

Police say the 34-year-old driver of the truck told authorities the man was a passenger and the two had been arguing when the man abruptly jumped out of the vehicle on Glacier Highway.

According to police, the driver says he turned the truck around to check on the passenger in the March 12 incident.

The injured man died Thursday.

Police say detectives are waiting for a report from the state medical examiner, but no foul play is suspected.

According to police the passenger is believed to have been intoxicated, but the driver was not.

The names of the men have not been released and the investigation continues.
